Houston Texas Consulting suited up and participated in the colorful nationwide Color In Motion 5K (CIM5K) run on February 2nd to support the Girls on the Run of Greater Houston charity and to support active lifestyles. Color In Motion 5K’s are designed to get people motivated to stay active and have a colorful blast doing it.
Color In Motion, is an organization that puts on 5k’s across the country that have a surprise at every kilometer; COLOR! The difference between CIM 5k’s and other 5k’s is that they’re jazzed up with bursts of color. Everyone starts out all fresh and clean in a white t-shirt, and by the end of the race everyone is covered in vibrant springtime camouflage.
The 5K’s aren’t just about the fun of it. Every race sponsors a local charity, trying to make a difference in every city that the 5K’s take place in.
The team at Houston Texas Consulting, had 10 employees participate in the festivities and the opportunity to raise awareness for a great cause in the Houston area. Houston Texas Consulting, believes that there is no reason for anyone not to join in the fun! The experience of the 5K is a once in a lifetime, and something that no one should miss out on! ~Recognize the power and responsibility to be intentional in the decision making
~Embrace the differences and find strength in the connectedness
~Express joy, optimism and gratitude through words, thoughts and actions
~Nurture the physical, emotional and spiritual health
~Lead with an open heart and assume positive intent
~Stand up for ourselves and others
Girls on the Run combines training for a 5K (3.1 miles) running event with healthy living education. Their programs instill self-esteem and strong values through health education, life skills development, mentoring relationships, and physical training – all of which are accomplished through an active collaboration with girls and their parents, schools, volunteers, staff, and the community.Google+

Houston Texas Consulting has joined forces with the Houston Children’s Charity for their annual Adopt-A-Family program. The Adopt-A-Family program aids families going through hardships during the holiday season. Through this program, organizations, such as Houston Texas Consulting, are afforded the opportunity to assist local families and offer gifts of hope, encouragement, and caring to those needing it most.
Although the family remains anonymous, the experience was a reminder to the team at Houston Texas Consulting about the spirit of the holidays. The team hopes the family enjoyed their time together opening the gifts and celebrating. Houston Texas Consulting looks forward to adopting another family next year.
